Downham Market Airfield Cairn Memorial
Memorial Update Message
The repairs and upgrades to the Downham Market Airfield Cairn Memorial are still ongoing, and I am working as quickly as I can, bearing in mind I have to travel from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, each time I need to work on the memorial!
Once the new-look memorial is complete, with the brand-new plaques, etc., I will then add the photographs of the new-look memorial.
The changes to the memorial had to happen for many reasons; here are just a few!
1. Historical.
2. Damage repair.
3. Future upkeep, making the memorial more low-maintenance.
I appreciate your patience, and I look forward to getting the memorial completed, so that future generations will have a place to go to think about and remember the sacrifices of so many brave airmen who gave us all so much.
I am so passionately driven inside to make this memorial happen for so many reasons.
