GUIDELINES MEMORIAL VISITS AND USE
On Monday, 8 June 2026, a meeting was held with the Land and Estate Director of Albanwise Ltd regarding the future use of the RAF Downham Market Memorial Cairn within the local community.
In this meeting, I was informed that I will now have complete control over the day-to-day management and organisation of all events held at the memorial.
In the future, all events, whether planned or spontaneous, at the memorial Cairn must be approved by me before the visit. This is particularly important for group visits. Albanwise Ltd has provided me with clear guidelines for future events. The area on which the memorial Cairn is located is situated on private land and a busy working farm; therefore, health and safety MUST be adhered to.
CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations overlooking the memorial cairn for these reasons.
